1. Notre Dame

We have all grown up watching Disney movies, and one of the most famous movies, the Hunchback of Notre Dame, depicts most likely made you wonder how it was like in real life. Well, when you do go to Paris, don’t forget to visit the Notre Dame tower. Although it was destroyed by the fires recently, it has been rebuilt and looks as breathtaking as it did before. The gothic-era detail and structure are centuries old. The very first stone in the cathedral goes as far as 1163.

This is a no-brainer. When we think of Paris, we think of the Eiffel Tower. If you go to Paris and don’t visit the Eiffel Tower, you might as well have stayed home. If you are a foodie, this is the experience that will have you go over the moon. Visit the local food markets or farmer’s markets to get your hands on the delicious cheeses, breads, and other eatables. You can grab some cheese, French wine, maybe a croissant sandwich and go for a picnic at one of the many parks in the city.

4. French Desserts

France is a country famous for its fashion, fine wines, and, yes, you got it, patisserie. Go to local cafes on the streets of Paris and try delicious desserts with coffee or wine. It is an experience you must never forgo. You can even take short cooking classes or attend workshops during your stay.

5. Night Cruise

This is another enjoyable experience you can have in the most visited city in the world. Night cruise through the Seine River is a sight to behold. All the flickering lights of the city at night look like stars in the sky.

6. Saint Germain Des Pres

Saint Germain Des Pret is a neighborhood popular for housing the most coveted Parisian literary and artists back in the days. Abbey of Saint Germain is located in it, which holds a lot of history and culture of the city.

7. Sacre-Coeur

Sacre-Coeur, also called Basilica of the Sacred Heart, is situated at the highest point in the city. It overlooks the entire city, and you can experience some fantastic views. The inside of the Basilica is also an essential part of the experience.

8. Champs-Élysées

Regarded as the “most beautiful avenue in the world” Avenue des Champs-Élysées is a must-see on any trip to Paris. There’s always something going on here, by day or by night. At 1.9 km long this beautiful avenue connects Arc de Triomphe with the Place de la Concorde.

The avenue is divided in two. The lower part, closest to the Place de la Concorde, runs through a park with imposing buildings such as the Palais de la Découverte (Discovery Palace), the Petit Palais and the Grand Palais. The higher part of Champs-Élysées begins at place Charles de Gaulle, where the magnificent Arc de Triomphe is situated, with numerous high-end stores, restaurants, cinemas and large department stores.

9. Versailles Palace

The Palace of Versailles is the place to be if you enjoy history. The intricate design and luxurious gold plates are unique. As you go inside the Palace, you will get a chance to learn about the residents and how it was built. To get to the Palace, you will have to book a guided tour bus or take a train if you want to do your own thing. The stations are a 20-minute walk from Versailles Palace.

10.  Musee D’orsay

This museum used to be a train station, and that’s what makes it so special. The art collection inside is out of this world, and the museum regularly holds exhibitions and attractions. It is smaller than the famous Louvre, so if you don’t have enough time you could squeeze in a tour of this museum.
